THE AREA
This studio is in a beautiful old Zagreb building, only 3 minutes walk from the central square, Trg bana Jelačića. Just opposite lies the historical Kamenita vrata (Stone Gate), the only preserved town gate of several that used to lead into medieval Zagreb, and today a link between the Upper and Lower Town.
The house itself is one of the rare old parts of a now modern city and gives you a direct insight into a centuries’ long tradition.
Within a 10-15 minute radius of the apartment, you can stumble across Zagreb’s central fresh food market (a must for people who are lucky enough to have access to a kitchen); Kaptol Center, a shopping mall with a multiplex cinema and various restaurants, and everything else offered by a city center.
A flight of narrow steps behind the apartment building leads down to the center of Tkalčićeva Street, Zagreb’s best-known street of cafes.
THE APARTMENT
The studio, as well as the whole house, has a unique Zagrebian atmosphere.
It is a very cozy and secluded hideaway for a single person or couple in Zagreb for business, leisure or just passing through and who both wishes to keep away from the busy traffic, and also be in the center of the city, only 3 minutes walk from the heart of Zagreb.
